Elsie

At the beginning of the project, Elsie had an operational application that faced numerous challenges related to user interaction, user flows, information architecture, and visual design. The aim was to enhance the user experience while refraining from introducing any new features.

A design assessment was conducted to pinpoint the most problematic areas and prioritize key user flows. To uncover opportunities for improvement, the primary flow of the application was mapped out using a physician persona. The most critical process was the ordering of genetic tests, and this flow became the focal point for enhancement due to its central role in the application.

A streamlined three-step process for prescribing genetic tests was developed, enabling physicians to efficiently complete their tasks. Additionally, a patient profile feature was created, providing doctors with access to all pertinent clinical information, including the status of prescribed tests. Alongside patient management, an analytical tool was also implemented to facilitate insights into the most common pathologies.
