Challenge
CTT had been using two distinct applications for various business sectors, both of which offered overlapping services: the primary app and the express post app. The challenge was to consolidate these two applications into a unified platform while also establishing a fresh visual identity that aligned with the updated brand standards.
Solution
A comprehensive design assessment of the existing applications was conducted, along with an analysis of user data from the most visited pages. This research identified the most frequently used features, which guided the application's information architecture, indicating that order tracking was the most vital function, while other features received less engagement.
For the user interface, the design adopted the new branding guidelines and aesthetics from the updated website to create a seamless mobile app experience.
Result
To guarantee easy access to key features in the new application, two major modifications were made:
— The order tracking feature was prominently showcased on the home screen;
— Other significant features were incorporated into the main navigation menu.
The focus on visual design sought to align with current design trends, ensuring that the application was not only easy to navigate but also visually appealing.
